Why?

The complete answer to why I'm doing this is rather long and involved.  But there are some very key thoughts that drive me to make this site a success.  Maybe they'll speak to you, too.

Stop Wasting Money

Even though I'm not performing professionally, I still buy magic books and DVDs.  Over the 25 years I've been in magic, I've bought a lot of crap.  With even the best books and DVDs, I'm usually only interested in one or two items (Eugene Burger, Tommy Wonder and Juan Tamariz are the exceptions).  Why did I spend $30 to $100 for all that material when I only wanted 10% of it.  Why couldn't I just spend $3 or $10 and get the effects I want?  Well... now you can with MobiusMagic.

Stop Wasting Space

One of my other jobs is running MyLovelyAssistant.com.  In addition to the products I buy for myself, we get about 30 products for review every month.  That takes up a lot of space!

I'm guessing you've got a closet full of stuff, just like I do.  How often do you pull out those DVDs you bought a year ago?  If you're like me, not very often. With online learning, there's nothing to take up more space in your magic closet.

More Money for the Creators

This won't matter to a lot of you, but it does to me. Maybe it should to you, too.  Without the creators, we've got nothing to buy...

Most of my friends are professional magicians and almost all of them have published some of their work.  You'd be surprised to find out how little they make once their product makes its way from the production house, through jobbers and wholesalers, on to a dealer and, finally, to your hot little hands.

Because everything at MobiusMagic is digital, there's no cost for producing a physical product.  No warehousing and shipping costs.  Storage and bandwidth are much cheaper than warehouse space, so MobiusMagic can afford to give more of the profit directly to the person who deserves it:  the creator.

To Make Money?

Sure, that's part of any business.  But it's not the primary goal.  Ask any serious magic dealer the same question and you'll get a similar answer (I have).  We've got to make a living, but most of us do it for the love of magic and magicians.
